private classes

Private or semi-private classes are available.

A few private classes is a great way to get ready to join a class. Or therapeutic yoga can help with health issues. We work together to design a practice specifically for your needs.

Restorative Yoga

A deeply restful and healing practice, Restorative Yoga will soothe your soul, and help you to heal and feel better. Deep relaxation is good for everyone & highly recommended for stress and anxiety, recovery from surgery or chronic conditions, trauma (such as grief), and fatigue.

Comfortable supported postures, visualizations and breathwork all contribute towards enabling your body/mind to rebalance and become whole and healthy again.

Chair yoga is for anyone who is not comfortable getting up and down from a mat for any reason. Gentle Yoga postures are modified to the chair to provide a safe and effective practice... always within your own comfort level.

Yoga works for the whole person... not just the body. Simple breathing techniques help to quiet the mind and bring relaxation, acceptance and peace. Personal awareness increases as we move our bodies and breathe, increasing mobility, strength, energy, balance, circulation and confidence.

Yoga helps the body you have, feel the best it can feel, and you feel good about it!

teaching chair yoga course

This is a short, affordable training for yoga teachers and care givers. Chair yoga affords the many and diverse benefits of yoga to a population unserved by mat yoga. Older adults enjoy it immensely, but people of all ages and all conditions will feel the results of this gentle, deep practice. There is a 2 hour Theory and Introduction to Practice session after which the student attends 2 or more of my Chair Yoga classes to observe, assist, and guide a section of their choice. The cost is $150.

In these gentle flow classes we take a little extra time to explore deep techniques for soothing & aligning back muscles. Since the spine is intimately connected to the pelvis, we will explore this area and the hamstrings to relieve tightness & discomforts and increase flexibility. We also explore alignment patterns & strengthening the core line.

These techniques will promote good posture while restoring mobility throughout your body. Receive a repertoire of safe, effective yoga poses, plus relaxing breathing techniques, to support a pain-free & mobile spine!
